Awesome dark purple colour is always a great sign straight up when evaluating a shiraz. Equally as good are aromas of mulberry and plum when they are booming out of the glass. All good signs so far. The palate has a nice intensity and concentration delivering more ripe plum, dark spice, raspberry, boysenberry and lingering mulberry. This wine has also been in some fairly good quality new oak for 15 months which adds both body and length so will age well for 5 to 10 years depending on cellaring conditions and will power. Really enjoyable classy shiraz from a great vintage in Heathcote and it’s vegan friendly too.
