Vegan Friendly Wine
Awesome tasting wines and works of art with layer upon layer of complexity, funk and soul.
Vibrant acacia, honeysuckle, peach, and citrus notes wrapped in a creamy slightly textural palate. The palate has wonderful underlying layers of caramel and nutty oak notes, tart grapefruit and fresh rockmelon supported by baked peach and a touch of nougat on the finish. Amazing balance and poise for such a young chardonnay is showing the class of both the amazing 2021 Yarra Valley vintage and classy winemaking.

Superb vintage from a single valley floor vineyard. Intensely flavoured with incredible structure with a long and tasty finish. This wine has plentiful aromas of ripe woodland fruit and black pepper aromas supported by a medium to full bodied plump palate displaying mulberry, plum and fresh dark cherry with an underlying white spice and faint herbal note. Fine and smooth tannins from start to finish. 18 months in oak puncheons. 13.5% Sustainably grown, minimum intervention in the winery and vegan friendly. So very pleased to be able to offer this one.

Yep, you heard it right, it is a Cabernet Shiraz. A rare find in Yarra Valley. There’s a wonderfully lifted and fragrant cassis and violet nose booming from the glass with a silky smooth medium bodied palate sported by a fantastic 30 second plus intensely flavoured finish.
The concentrated fine grained palate has an assortment of fleshy blackcurrant, mulberry, plum and a lingering dark cherry note. 18 months oak utilising both puncheons and about 10% new oak barriques. 13.5% Sustainably grown, minimum intervention in the winery and vegan friendly. This wine is so much better than its current price tag. Still fresh in the bottle so decant or open and serve 2 to 3 hours later for best enjoyment.

Dry textural white wine. The grape variety is originally from Galicia in the North-Western part of Spain. Lifted green pears, red pears, white peach, honeydew melon and zesty lemon complimented by a pinch of underlying sweet ginger spice and slightly textural mouthfeel from a touch of skin contact. The intensely flavoured palate is supported by a long line of refreshing acidity holding everything together followed by lingering pear, lemon curd and stone fruit notes at the finish. Enjoy on its own, with Tapas or soft white mould sheep and goat’s cheese. Best over the next 24 to 36 months.

The nose on this wine is so amazing I could sit there and smell it all day. Text book great ripening displaying dark cherry, raspberries, blueberries, plums and violets encased by a long round velvety mouthfeel. Intensely flavoured Yarra Valley pinot with the perfect amount of fresh juicy fruit. Drinks really well now but will get better and better over the next few years and should peak in about 7 or 8 years depending on cellaring. So far, the signs are very strong for Yarra Valley Pinot Noir from the 2021 vintage.

Ruby red with crimson edges. Old fashioned or Cab Merlot with baked blackberry, black cherry and caramel oak nose. Medium to full bodied wine that has intense fragrant cassis, plum and boysenberry aromas with a palate of chocolatey oak, juicy berry flavours, black cherries and prune from start to finish with a touch of sweet spice on the front palate but wait for the forest and hedge fruit to kick in on the extremely good and long finish. Very soft velvety tannins throughout. 85% early harvested Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and so approachable and drinkable and already in balance in its youth allowing an opportunity to drink now or age well for up to 5 years.

Deep rich red purple colours leap out of the glass. The nose is wonderfully complex and intense giving dark cherry, mulberry, plum with violets underlying nutmeg and truffles introduced with a second sniff. The medium to full bodied dry palate has concentrated flavours encompassed by a rich ripe velvety mouthfeel. All of this is complimented by interesting plum and raspberry notes then a sneaky little cameo of violet tones lingering on the sternly structured finish with lingering texture and flavour. Should drink well over the next couple of years and typically for this style red wine fantastically well for a couple of years after that once the tannins have relaxed a touch.

This wine was grown on a single vineyard in Northeastern Yarra Valley at elevations between 460m and 480m. Light ruby red colour displaying spicy redcurrant cranberry and dark cherry characters on the nose. Give it a bit of air and it releases strawberry and raspberry notes too. Medium to full bodied for pinot there is some background oak and blood orange notes shooting through on the palate as well. Good depth and length with the cherry notes lingering well. 15 months in seasoned oak barriques with no fining and only the lightest filtration. It’s the type of pinot that will compliment confit duck but won’t overpower charcuterie. Decant and drink now or enjoy from 2024 to 2032.
